This decades old pie factory has come together with all the right ingredients to be baked into a modern mix of creative companies and personalities. Our client sought branding that would make this industrial revolution-era building innovative amongst the growing number of renovated warehouses in Richmond’s Manchester district, yet also walk the delicate balance between the area’s redeveloping needs and historical preservation. The brand utilizes bold lettering that grabs like a headline, reminiscent of the building’s former heyday when the daily news was king. We spread this idea throughout: from the doorway’s etched window, to pie-piece shaped banners, across the resident mailboxes, and onto high-quality invitations to the grand opening. By matching our client’s devotion to the Manchester area, we were able to honor the laboring spirit that once propelled the building through the early 1900’s, attract contemporary and creative tenants, and take the building into the next century.
